It must be that time of year…famed creature of the night, Nosferatu Sammy Sosa has emerged from his crypt and made a public appearance.
The 1998 National League MVP was in the Dominican Republic handing out school supplies and, once again, looked a few shades lighter than he did during his playing days.
As you might recall, Sosa has experimented with his skin several times over the last few years and while no one really knows what he’s been doing to himself (some have speculated he’s bleaching his skin…others have suggested “skin rejuvenation”), one thing is for certain, dude looks different.
“He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin. Women have it all of the time,” Sosa friend Rebecca Polihronis told the New York Post back in 2009. “He was surprised he came out looking so white. I thought it was a body double. Part of (the photo appearance) is just the lighting. The picture is deceiving.”
Yes. Blame the lighting.
