Jerry Rice has weighed in on the Colin Kaepernick national anthem controversy and he’s not in favor of Kaepernick’s refusal to stand for the anthem.
All lives matter. So much going on in this world today. Can we all just get along! Colin,I respect your stance but don’t disrespect the Flag.

Rice is a Hall of Famer and in the discussion as the greatest NFL player of all time. So his opinion on this situation will get a reaction.
And the reaction hasn’t been entirely positive.
Rice’s tweet has met with some backlash because of his use of the words “all lives matter” in response to the “black lives matter” movement. Some African-Americans don’t want to hear “all lives matter” because they feel that they are not part of the “all.”
If Rice were counseling Kaepernick about something football-related, Kaepernick should take it as gospel because of what Rice has accomplished on the field.
The decision to stand or not stand for the national anthem is a lot more complex, and it’s not up to Rice or anyone else but Kaepernick whether Kaepernick stands or sits while it is played.
