The Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots are set to square off on Sunday, but Tom Brady won’t be playing in the game, as he’ll be serving a four-game suspension for his role in Deflategate.
But don’t expect Brady’s opponents to feel sorry for him, as Carson Palmer has already made it clear that he does not.
Palmer spoke with reporters on Wednesday, and he shared his thoughts regarding how he felt about Brady’s suspension, which was handed down by the league (via CSNNE.com).
“I tried not to follow it just because it was everywhere for so long but I go back and … you follow what the rule book says and go about your business and your work and if they tell you not to do it and you get busted and what happens happens then you suffer the consequences.”
Palmer then went on to say that, for the most part, what the league decides as far as punishments go usually stands, and that it’s tough to get those sanctions overturned.
“Whatever the league comes down upon and whatever ruling they make is what they make. You don’t have much of a decision after that and you can fight it for a little bit but after a while, you just gotta abide by what they say.”
The veteran quarterback has been in the league since 2003, he knows what the deal is. If you do the crime, you do the time.
