The New York Knicks are a “super-team,” according to Derrick Rose, and maybe handicappers and bettors are believing in that theory.
Or maybe they just really like 80:1 odds, in which case, we can’t really blame them.
Whatever the reason, David Purdum of ESPN.com reports that bettors have wagered on the Knicks to win the title more than any other NBA team.

This may sound crazy at first glance, given the Knicks finished last season with an abysmal 17-65 record. With that being said, the Eastern Conference is so barren with talent that the Knicks certainly have a shot to win. The Cavaliers have won it the last two years, but aside from them and the Bulls, let’s be honest, no one else is winning the East.
So it’s not crazy. All the Knicks need to do is to get to the finals, where they’ll likely run into the buzzsaw that is the Golden State Warriors (yikes).
