It’s been a rough season for the Sudbury Wolves. The Ontario Hockey League team has lost its last 10 games against its opponents, and players and coaches alike are a bit frustrated.
After the team’s most recent loss—in which they were outscored 7-2 by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyounds—head coach Paul Fixter spoke to the media after the game. But maybe he should’ve cooled off a bit first, because a heated exchange between him and a reporter would soon follow.
The postgame media session really became entertaining midway through when Fixter and a reporter went back and forth in a snarky discussion. The head coach then got a bit defensive when asked about the team’s work ethic. So he raised his voice a bit and was quite frank with the reporter—demanding to know what the man was getting at, asking, “What’s the question?”
The reporter was very direct this time as he asked his question. He too, raised his voice, and inquired, “Did you work hard?”
“F*** you!” was the response he was given.
Fixter will probably be hit with a fine from the OHL for his outburst.
