The Niagara women’s basketball team has been sitting on a bus for over 22 hours and counting. And they’ve spent much of that time being stuck in the snow.

It all started when the team was traveling back from their game against Pittsburgh on Monday night. Unfortunately, they encountered a huge snowstorm along the way and got stuck. They left Pittsburgh at 9:30 p.m. ET. But around 1 a.m., they ran into the storm. And one hour later, the bus got stuck, according to Jane Havsy of the Daily Record.

They’ve been trapped on the bus in that same spotwhich is located about 50 miles from campusever since.

Even though they’ve had heat, electricity and Wi-Fi on the bus, it was only a matter of time before boredom kicked in. And approximately 12 hours after they first got stuck, the selfies began. Both players and coaches participated.

The team’s assistant coach, Corinne Jones, then tweeted an update a few hours ago about the need for food and water.

They then started the #NUWBBstrandedonbus hashtag in an attempt to garner recognition and support on social media.

Teammates recently rallied together in prayer.

The team is still stuck, at the time of writing. We hope they are bailed out soon.

[UPDATE, 11:30 p.m. ET: Head coach Kendra Faustin has been in contact with state police, as troopers are currently pulling other (unconscious) people out of cars. But no word on when the team’s bus will be rescued.]
