Duke and North Carolina squared off on Thursday night with the Victory Bell trophy on the line.
The Blue Devils won last season’s matchup and possessed the trophy heading into the game. And let’s just say that graduate assistant Chris Hoover really didn’t want to give it back to the school’s biggest rival.
Hoover made sure to let the team know how important the game was before it kicked off. He gave a pregame speech in the locker room which included chair throwing, jumping around and plenty of shouting.
Unfortunately, his speech wasn’t effective. The Tar Heels blew out the Blue Devils, 45-20, in a game that was never close.
