When ESPN analyst Bobby Knight is calling a basketball game, please sit down and let him enjoy the view. Otherwise, you’re going to hear about it.
A group of SMU fans learned that lesson the hard way in Thursday night’s game against Temple, when their team look the lead for the first time after Nic Moore drilled a three-pointer.
The fans stood up to cheer. But Knight would have none of it. They apparently obstructed his view, so he yelled at them during live play. And yes, his microphone was still on as he screamed:
“Sit down boy! Either take my seat and let me sit there or sit down!”
And it didn’t stop there. Knight also provided us with another gem during the game dating back to when he was coaching.
Knight claimed he shot players who committed offensive fouls, which seems like a pretty effective method to get his guys to play smarter.
Knight is both entertaining and informative. We learn something new each time he calls a game.
