It’s been only two months since Rajon Rondo was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, but it didn’t take long for him to get into it with head coach Rick Carlisle.
The Mavericks squared off against the Raptors on Tuesday night, and Rondo and Carlisle had a heated exchange in the third quarter of the game.
Rondo brought the ball up the floor, and Carlisle attempted to get his attention to call a timeout. But the Mavericks point guard seemed to completely ignore his head coach, and Carlisle was forced to call it himself. He wasn’t too happy about it, either, which is certainly understandable.

Rondo then made his way toward the bench, and Carlisle had some words for him. That didn’t go over too well, and Rondo then fired back at his coach.
This should come as a surprise to no one. Remember, Rondo was shipped out of Boston after being ripped for his work ethic and leadership ability. He and Carlisle will surely have a chat about what went on at some point in the near future, especially since Rondo was benched after the two got into it.
