The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio continue to rip off the positive headlines.

According to Brazil’s O Globo, Monday saw police officers seize 93 bags of cocaine with the Olympic Games’ official logo on them.

Alex Cuadros captured a picture for proof:

Maybe folks should have seen this coming, but it’s a factor most probably didn’t think about while being swarmed by the rest of the bad news surrounding the Olympic Games.

A sampling of other bad news:

  • Russian athletes are getting banned for doping.
  • Athletes find their village “uninhabitable.”
  • There are ticket scams.
  • The country’s recession has caused some to suggest it is hosting the games “on the cheap.”

So no, cocaine baggies sporting the logo isn’t the biggest shock in the world, nor does it seem like the most damning piece of news coming out of Rio right now.

One could argue this is par for the course when it comes to the buildup for any Olympic Games. Most host countries have plenty of problems, though the situation in Rio does continue to seem worse than usual as more and more stories creep out.
