The green pool at the 2016 Rio Olympics has finally closed.

Spectators around the world have watched in confusion over the past few days as divers plummeted into oddly green water. Friday, those in charge shut it down, canceling training so the water could remain still. This apparently means it can turn back to its normal blue color:

No point in arguing, it either will or it won’t.

Until the color returns to normal or doesn’t, here’s a funny quip by a diver with first-hand experience in the pool:

No word yet on how this will impact the rest of events in Rio, which isn’t much of a surprise when one remembers there hasn’t been any official word as to why the pool is green in the first place.

Good times. Though it’d be funny to watch divers hold their noses or plug them up completely during competition, safety has to come first. Kudos to those in charge for at least shutting it down now.

Stay tuned.
