Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre was inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor during halftime of their Thursday night game against the Bears.
And while the result was extremely disappointing for Packers fans, what happened during halftime was not, although it was a bit of a tear-jerker.
Bart Starr, who has suffered two strokes and has been undergoing stem cell treatment to attempt to recover, made his way out to Lambeau Field to see Favre get honored. And after Favre was officially inducted, Starr made his way down to the field and hopped on a cart to join the former gunslinger during his big moment.
The two shared a warm embrace, which included a long hug that made it clear they have a ton of respect for one another.
