San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey laid it all on the line for his team on Monday night, but he may be paying for it in the future.
The team’s game against the Marlins was tied 7-7 in the eleventh inning, and Posey was so determined to get to third base after a Brandon Crawford single that he slid toward it head-first. Unfortunately, his face hit the base first, and then his hands, and ouch, that looked painful.

Here’s another look.
Posey is feared to have broken his finger.
Buster Posey was holding his hand, appeared to tell Roberto that he feared he broke a finger on slide. But he's in there catching bot 11.

So Buster Posey, with a busted up finger and a strawberry on his face, continues to play ball like a boss. Two down. #SFGiants

The fact that he remained in the game shows just how tough he is.
