Panthers players like to find a kid in the stands and give that kid the ball after they score a touchdown.

Cam Newton upheld that tradition after running for a TD against the Falcons, but a couple of adults made it difficult for him. Newton pulled the ball away from the grasping adult hands and made sure the kid wearing a Cam Newton jersey got the ball.

Newton threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Panthers to a 28-0 halftime lead.

That rushing touchdown was Newton’s seventh of the season. It wouldn’t be surprising if he runs for another one at some point this year. Hopefully grown-ups have learned the lesson that when Newton gives the ball away, it’s not for them, it’s for a kid.
