The Los Angeles Clippers made quite a splash on social media after unveiling their new mascot during halftime of Monday night’s game against the Nets.
If you thought “Chuck the Condor” was going to be cartoonish, you were right. And even that is an understatement, it seems.

Team owner Steve Ballmer introduced the new mascot, who announced its presence by jumping on a trampoline and dunking a basketball.
Ballmer then dunked as well.

If “Toucan Sam” was what the Clippers were going for, then they nailed it. But it sure looks like the big unveiling will generate more laughter and snark than anything.
