There’s a lot of pressure on Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson to perform with the emergence of rookie Stefon Diggs.
Patterson was even rumored to be on the trade block leading up to the deadline, but he’s staying put in Minnesota, at least for now.
But he knows he needs to make plays if he wants to stay on the field and get opportunities, so that’s exactly what he did in Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
After Andre Holmes caught a touchdown pass, the Raiders kicked off and Patterson fielded the kick. He muffed it, though, and dropped the ball near the seven-yard line.
It was no problem, though, as Patterson calmly picked it up and returned it 93 yards to the house to give the Vikings a 19-14 lead.
