Ask Samuel L. Jackson, and yeah, he could beat Tiger Woods in golf right now.

Granted, many people would probably say the same thing in a joking manner. But here’s the difference—Jackson actually did it.

Jackson appeared on The Dan Patrick Show Wednesday and when asked said he could beat Woods. Then he went on to reveal something most don’t know:

He had to give me all my 16 shots. First time I played St. Andrews, I actually played with Tiger … The day I played with him, he said, ‘Follow me.’ I was at 16, I shot 78, he shot even par. I win.

See? Easy.

Here’s the full interview:

All kidding aside, Jackson isn’t a joke on the course. He’s known to rally at charity golf events and before the Ann and George Lopez Celebrity Golf Classic detailed some of his accomplishments, per Golf.com:

Well, I’ve had a hole-in-one, but that’s luck. I once hit a 3-wood onto the par-5 15th at Augusta and made eagle. That got me around Amen Corner at under-par. Now that was a great accomplishment.

As for Woods, a surgically repaired back still has him on the sidelines with no date set for his return.

Maybe Woods could hook up with Jackson and get back at it.
