It’s a question worth asking, folks.

He better with that beard. ESPN’s Matt Hasselbeck took to Mike and Mike Friday and joked about his former teammate, alluding to odd hygiene behavior by the Indianapolis Colts quarterback.

“He’s kind of like a college kid, still,” Hasselbeck said on the show, according to Jim Ayello of the Indianapolis Star. “He takes pride in not showering, kind of a thing. … He’s grungy.”

Oh.

It gets better. Well, kind of.

“I mean Andrew Luck is closer in age to my kids than he is to me, so if he’d come over for dinner, naturally the conversations would become Andrew and my kids talking and then me and my wife would basically have a conversation with ourselves,” Hasselbeck said.

Luck was quick to shoot down the friendly banter Friday when Colts training camp opened, per Ayello’s colleague, Zak Keefer:

Is the story dead?

Of course not. Luck is the guy who just told reporters camp is awesome because you can wear the same clothes two weeks in a row (h/t Mike Florio, Pro Football Talk):

What about camp makes it so awesome?

“That it’s ball all day,” Luck said. “You don’t really have to think about anything. You can wear the same clothes, you know, two weeks in a row and no one is going to judge you unless you start smelling and then someone tells you, ‘You smell.’”

This is all in good fun. Luck is one of the league’s best quarterbacks and has become an Internet meme in recent years because of his wild beard.

Rest assured the Internet is about to have a field day with all of this.
