Drake did plenty of trolling on Instagram leading up to the Eastern Conference Finals, but the team’s global ambassador accepted defeat after the Cavs destroyed the Raptors 113-87 at Air Canada Centre on Friday night.
The rapper threw plenty of jabs at Pacers superstar Paul George on IG during that series, but showed respect for LeBron James in the conference finals, and his mannerisms after Game 6 reflected that as well.
James ran toward the locker room but made sure to stop when he saw Drake. The two shared a warm embrace and hugged it out.
It’s war on the court but at the end of the day it’s all love, and the two will probably have a drink together at some point in the coming months, if not sooner. For now, James and the Cavs have a title to compete for.
