Starting pitchers tend to stay to themselves, but Royals ace Edinson Volquez probably should’ve checked with his teammates before taking the mound in Sunday’s game against the Mets.

He later changed hats after retiring the Mets in order in the first inning, and had a laugh about the whole thing.
Volquez was alerted in the dugout to the fact that he was wearing a different hat. Burst out laughing.
