Your average Mike Trout fan is going to show their appreciation in a variety of different ways…a replica Number 27 jersey on their back or, perhaps, a life-sized Fathead on their wall.

The folks from Goldin Auction are hoping to attract more than just the “average” fan of the Los Angeles Angels superstar.

On the auction block at the annual National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlantic City is Trout’s first truck…a black, two-wheel drive 2000 Ford Ranger pickup.

As the story goes, Trout’s parents (Jeff and Debbie, natch) bought the truck in 2007 when the then-eventual first round draft pick was just a junior at Millville High School in New Jersey. After getting drafted, the “Millville Missle” bought himself a new ride, sold his pickup to the parents of his girlfriend. They would eventually gift the Ford Ranger to their son Aaron.

Now, this is where it gets fun. “Aaron” is Aaron Cox, a right-handed pitching prospect for the Burlington Bees, the Angels Single-A affiliate.

Trout’s truck is expected to fetch more than $15,000 and comes complete with a signed Letter of Authenticity from the 2014 American League MVP and his signature on the glove box.
