MMA fighter Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller was involved in a standoff with police on Wednesday after barricading himself in his house when they attempted to serve him with an arrest warrant.
Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department arrived around 10 a.m. local time to his California home, and when they tried to bring him in to custody on stalking and domestic violence charges, he did not comply, according to KTLA.com.
“He retreated into the house, was uncooperative with any of the commands by sheriff’s deputies, and based on that, we established a perimeter, called out the SWAT team and now we’re in the process of establishing communication with him inside the house,” Orange County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Jeff Hallock said at 1 p.m.
Miller then took to Twitter to explain his side of the story.
i need to tell everyone about the absolute waste of resources going on outside of my house right now. i am counting no less than 5 officers.

they also have allocated use of a chopper, which cost approx. 12 Grand an Hour to operate, along with taking time away from REAL emergencies — mayhem miller (@mayhemmiller) October 9, 2014

I did nothing wrong. This is the state of American Justice. I feel you black men. They fear, so they threaten to take our lives. Abhorrent.

You lie. All he has yelled into his squeaky bullhorn is “JASON MILLER, THIS IS THE @OCSD WE HAVE A WARRANT FOR YOUR ARREST. COME OUTSIDE!!!”

This isn’t the first time Miller has been in trouble with the law. He was arrested for allegedly assaulting his sister in 2011. A year later, he broke into a church. And in 2013, he was arrested three times.
