Another day…another Jose Canseco headline.

Honestly, I’d love to not post so much about the guy, but, let’s face it, finding interesting stories about the 2016 Hall of Very Good inductee are kind of like shooting fish inhabiting a big barrel-like structure full of, well…you know.

Anyway.

Saturday night, Canseco’s old team (the Oakland A’s) hosted another of his former teams (the Boston Red Sox) and the first 15,000 fans through the gate walked away with a bobblehead of the 1988 American League MVP.

Given there are some absolutely awful bobbleheads out there, the likeness is, actually, kind of flattering. But, suffice it to say, Canseco did find some faults.

“It’s pretty good, it’s pretty accurate. It looks like the pre-Steroid-era bobblehead, though,” the embattled slugger said. “It’s got me kind of skinny. If it would have been the Steroid-era it would have me more beefed up. It looks more like the ‘86 bobblehead.”

Sigh.

Don’t ever change, Jose. Ever.
