The Starship Enterprise?
Really?
That’s what the Kansas State marching band says was going into the mouth of a Kansas Jayhawk during its show at halftime of Saturday night’s game against South Dakota at Snyder Family Stadium, according to The Wichita Eagle.
We apologize for anyone offended by our halftime performance depicting the starship enterprise and the Jayhawk mascot.

It sure looked like band members were forming a certain male body part. Even the most juvenile, puberty-fueled teenage boy would have a difficult time finding anything phallic in the design of the “Star Trek” spaceship. What would be the point of a spaceship flying into a bird’s mouth, anyway? That’s the kind of thing you see in a 3-year-old’s drawing.
The Starship Enterprise story is a nice attempt at a cover-up. But c’mon, K-State marching band, we know what you were up to.
