The Cleveland Cavaliers’ 2014-15 campaign isn’t going how the team had hoped it would. And another incident occurred during Tuesday night’s Cavaliers-Suns game.
With a power struggle taking place between LeBron James and head coach David Blatt, the two have struggled to find a balance regarding who should lead the team. Blatt is used to the total control that comes from coaching overseas, and James has traditionally been a bit of a player-coach—guiding and coaching up his teammates on the floor.
So the Internet exploded Tuesday when Blatt—who was very upset after James was whistled for an offensive foul—received some “guidance” from the team’s power forward.
James tried to prevent Blatt from getting hit with a technical foul when he was arguing with an official, so he shoved him out of the way—back toward the sideline.
Blatt downplayed the incident after the game.
Blatt says LeBron push was stopping him from getting a tech. James wasn’t arguing with the ref (or Blatt, for conspiracy lovers) — Kevin Zimmerman (@KZimmermanFSAZ) January 14, 2015
Even so, he didn’t look too happy after James pushed him.
