Well here’s a way to ease boredom at the airport and get a non-revenue college sport some attention all at the same time.
The Louisville women’s swimming and diving team passed the time by mimicking some rowing, swimming and cycling moves on an automatic walkway.
Unless you have a Michael Phelps poster in your bedroom, it’s hard to tell which was which. But it appeared as though the backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle all were represented.
How much attention did they get? One guy turned his head as he walked by. Another guy was thoroughly entertained. He had his phone out and was recording the whole thing. Then there’s the one woman who must have been in a hurry to get somewhere. She walked right by without even a look.
It’s just too bad the video wasn’t a few seconds longer, because there were people walking behind these Louisville athletes on the walkway. You can sense a little bit of the awkwardness as they tried to figure out how they were going to get by, but it would have been fun (and maybe even hilarious) to see how that went.
