With a 3-2 victory in Thursday night’s Game 5 of the NL Division Series, the New York Mets advanced to the NL Championship Series and will face the Chicago Cubs.
The game featured a pitcher’s duel between Zack Grienke and Jacob deGrom, with both guys showcasing their best stuff. Daniel Murphy was the difference-maker in the game, going 3-for-4 at the plate and driving in two runs. His sixth-inning home run proved to be all the Mets needed to punch their ticket to the NLCS.
Mets fans were elated after the game, and one man even kissed manager Terry Collins while the two had a brief embrace. He also told Collins he loved him, which was a bit weird, but whatever.
A Dodgers fan didn’t necessarily agree with the other fan’s sentiments, though, so he decided to sneak his middle finger in there to flip off Collins.
The Mets and their manager are quite polarizing, it seems. You either love them or hate them.
