Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett is one of the funniest players in the NFL today, and he knows it. Whether it’s riding a police bike around CenturyLink Field, or calling out team owner Paul Allen over Kam Chancellor’s contract situation, Bennett is the NFL’s unofficial king of comedy.
It must run in the family, as his brother, Martellus, compared Bears quarterback Jay Cutler to Jesus after Sunday’s win over the Raiders.
But what the Seahawks pass-rusher said after Monday night’s thrilling 13-10 victory over the Lions takes the cake.
When Gregg Bell of The News Tribune asked Bennett why he doesn’t like Matthew Stafford, the response he got was legendary.
Michael Bennett: “I don’t like Matt Stafford much. He’s from Dallas. They killed the President (JFK). … I hold it against him.”

Bennett may be a bit zany, but he does have his facts correct. JFK was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, on Nov. 22, 1963. However, being that Stafford was born over 24 years later, we’re going to assume that he didn’t have anything to do with JFK’s assassination.
Still, Bennett wins the day with this legendary quote.
