UFC 196 was filled with upsets.

Both Holly Holm and Conor McGregor saw their champion status quickly vanish almost as soon as they first attained it.

Holm dominated Tate, and was the clear winner in every round except the second one, but her opponent stuck around after absorbing a flurry of blows. Holm slipped up and allowed herself to get pinned against the cage with a few minutes left in the final round, and she flipped Tate over which wasn’t a good idea. Tate then submitted her with a rear-naked choke, just like Nate Diaz did to McGregor.

Tate is now the UFC women’s bantamweight champion.
