The New York Giants pulled off a dramatic come-from-behind win in the final seconds of their Sunday night matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. The (3-2) team now sits atop the NFC East standings with a one-game lead over the other three squads.
Odell Beckham Jr. played an integral role in the Giants’ 30-27 victory, as he hauled in seven catches for 121 yards (one touchdown). He did leave the game for a spell after a 17-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter with a hamstring injury, but returned on the Giants’ game-winning drive which was capped off by a Larry Donnell touchdown catch.
Beckham was emotional after the game, as he broke down into tears in a postgame interview with sideline reporter Michelle Tafoya.
Tafoya commented that the wide receiver seemed a bit emotional, and ODB nodded and wiped a few tears from his eyes. He then responded by saying “I’m just happy we won.”
Beckham clearly left it all on the field and was overcome with emotion after the dramatic victory.
