A simple road sign in North Carolina with a special relevance to Super Bowl 50 is going viral on social media.
And if the sign along North Carolina’s Highway 16 is at all prophetic, Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers are going to be happy campers come Sunday night.
Facebook user and Panthers fan Jason Smith snapped a photo of the otherwise innocuous sign, which reads “Denver 7, Newton 20.” The mileage indicator is an obvious reference to the Denver Broncos, Carolina’s opponent in Super Bowl 50, and Newton, the Panthers’ likely MVP quarterback.
Could the North Carolina sign be predicting the score of Sunday’s Super Bowl?
As of Wednesday night, Smith’s post has been shared over 25,000 times on Facebook. The Panthers take on the Broncos at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday night.
