The release of the Curry 2, the signature shoe of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, didn’t go as planned last week. The all-white sneakers were mocked and criticized on social media, and late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel had some fun with them as well in a hilarious fake commercial.
Dad will LOVE @StephenCurry30‘s new shoes! #Curry2https://t.co/Yt1MF9P3qX

But amid all the hate and jokes, there’s one person who actually likes Curry’s new kicks: Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.
Carroll called them “awesome” and told Curry “great work” in a tweet Monday.
Hey what’s the fuss, I think these are some really awesome shoes… Great work @StephenCurry30! pic.twitter.com/7ae127mfKD

Carroll, who is currently rocking Nike Air Monarchs as his shoe of choice, considered a switch this offseason. Maybe a pair of Curry 2’s might be in his future.
They may not be much to look at, but Curry’s new shoes look really comfortable. They should be perfect for the 64-year-old Carroll as he tends to rack up a lot of steps on the Seahawks’ sideline.
