Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has another major NFL record within his grasp.

If Manning throws for at least 284 yards against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, he’ll move past Brett Favre for first place all-time in career passing yards. Favre holds the current record at 71,838 yards, with Manning currently sitting at 71,555.

It took Favre 298 starts to reach his record number. If Manning breaks his mark on Sunday, he’ll have done it in just 264. Favre and Manning are the only two quarterbacks in NFL history to throw for at least 70,000 yards.

It wouldn’t be the first time Manning took one of Favre’s records. And it likely won’t be the last.

In October of last year, Manning passed Favre for most passing touchdowns of all-time. He now has 537, or 29 more than the 508 Favre ended his career with in 2010. And as long as he stays healthy, Manning will likely break Favre’s record for passes completed at some point in 2015.

While Manning missed breaking the passing yards record against the Green Bay Packers (Favre’s old team), he’ll now have a chance to do it against the Colts in Indianapolis—the team that drafted him in 1998 and the city in which he helped bring a Super Bowl title to in 2006.

Also, if  “quarterback wins” are your thing, Manning has another big opportunity on Sunday. A win over the Colts would give Manning 187 for his career, breaking the current tie with Favre at 186 for the all-time lead.

Coming back to Indianapolis is always a special occasion for Manning. Breaking a few major NFL records and keeping the Broncos unbeaten would make the homecoming extra memorable.
