When football players are preparing to the lay the boom, it’s important that they make sure to target the right player.
Rams safety T.J. McDonald did not do that in Sunday’s game against the Cardinals. When Cardinals receiver Michael Floyd caught a pass, McDonald attempted to lay him out, but destroyed teammate Janoris Jenkins instead.

The big hit even caused Jenkins to briefly leave the game to be evaluated for a concussion.
Jenkins cleared concussion protocol. He’s back for the Rams.
