Happy-go-lucky Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski isn’t too happy with the Cowboys these days.

The words “Do Your Job” are painted on a wall in the Cowboys’ new training facility. Those words were the Patriots’ golden rule during their 2014 championship season.

ESPN business reporter Darren Rovell was the intrepid reporter who uncovered the Cowboys’ intellectual larceny. He pointed out that the Patriots have three trademarks to that phrase.

That means “Do Your Job” won’t be appearing on any Cowboys T-shirts or other merchandise, but does this copyright really cover locker-room postings?

“Do Your Job” is a pretty ubiquitous sentence. At some point, coaches have to be allowed to use it in one form or another.

Most people outside of Texas and New England will have a hard time deciding who to root for in this skirmish since the Patriots and Cowboys are two of the NFL’s most hated teams.
