Robert Griffin III addressed the media in Cleveland Wednesday, and based on what he said it was a good day for the Browns.

At least it was as good a day as an NFL franchise can have in April.

Griffin didn’t make any bold predictions. The boldest thing he said was that he has a “massive chip” on his shoulder.

Griffin, the 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year, came across like a team player. He even extrapolated his “chip” comment to incorporate the entire team.

The whole city of Cleveland hasn’t eaten dinner in a long time when it comes to pro sports championships. The city’s last one was the Browns’ NFL title in 1964.

Griffin hasn’t even won the starting quarterback job yet and his competition could be someone who the Browns draft with the No. 2 pick on April 28. But after his ouster in Washington, maybe he and the Browns can form a perfect storm of chips on shoulders which leads to a revival of Griffin’s career and respectability for the Browns.
