The Seattle Mariners weren’t scheduled to play Thursday and Robinson Cano did what any of us would do with a day off from work.
He took in a movie.
However, what separates me and you going to the local multiplex from what the All-Star second baseman did is easy…dude partnered up with Seattle Seahawks rookie running back C.J. Prosise to treat 150 kids to an advance screening of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows”.
Happy my @CityYear @UrbanImpactSea @ClubInsider & @seattlechildren friends got to see @TMNTMovie with me! #Roc4Kids pic.twitter.com/FhAlZDfZNO

You only wish it was a better movie though, right? The previous TMNT offering scored a 22% from Rotten Tomatoes when it hit the big screen in 2014 and, honestly, I can’t imagine this one (which opens June 3) being much better.
Cowabunga, dude.
