Apparently a ton of people don’t like Jose Bautista.
Rougned Odor of the Texas Rangers caught Bautista in the now-infamous brawl that has spawned t-shirts and even has fans attempting to gather cash to pay the fine.
Now a BBQ restaurant has entered the fray, offering Odor free BBQ for life, according to Scott Gordon of NBCDFW.com:
“We just thought it would be a funny thing if we Rougie free food because he wasn’t the only one who wanted to punch Bautista after last year, so you know, it’s kind of a justice, a little bit,” said owner Travis Heim.
Heim also is selling t-shirts promoting the free-food offer with the words “Rougned eats free” on the front.
That’s one way to promote a BBQ joint.
The question is, what comes next in the Bautista-Odor saga? And how many events from here on out will spawn such hilarious, if not controversial reactions?
