The defending champion Seattle Seahawks may not have started strong out of the gate, but they’ve won five of their last six games—outscoring their last two opponents by a 38-6 margin.
Even on the short week—coming off a big win against the division-leading Arizona Cardinals—they dominated all three phases of the game in their Thanksgiving Day matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.
Seattle put on a defensive clinic and held its division rival to just 164 total yards. Linebacker Bruce Irvin took to Twitter to boast about it. He mocked the 49ers and their “Who’s got it better than us?” locker room chant by putting a 12th Man spin on it.
Whosss got it better than us?!!! NOOOBOODYYYY! #12thman

It didn’t stop there. Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman picked off two Colin Kaepernick passes in the game. His first-quarter interception set up the only touchdown on the night. Sherman discussed it afterward and shared a humorous take on the errant pass from Kaepernick.
“I was the open man!”
The Niners QB threw the ball well inside of his intended target—WR Brandon Lloyd—who cut his route off. Sherman stepped forward, picked off the pass and recorded (what will likely be) his easiest interception of the season.
The 49ers will have the opportunity to get revenge when they travel to CenturyLink Field in two and a half weeks. But for now, the Seahawks have plenty of reasons to boast. They are resembling the team that shut down QB Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos’ prolific passing attack in MetLife Stadium back in February.
Just ask the 49ers, who had to endure the Seahawks players eating turkey on their logo in their new stadium after the loss.

The win puts the (8-4) Seahawks just one and a half games back from the division lead. The pressure is now on the (9-2) Cardinals, who recently lost QB Carson Palmer for the season and play three of their final five games on the road.
Watch out, NFC. The Seahawks are surging and seem to have regained their championship swagger.
