Late-night hoops with comedians is apparently part of the weight loss program for Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy.
Dane Cook, a popular standup comedian, posted this photo of himself, Lacy and a group of guys after a basketball session in California late Tuesday night:
Lacy—a Pro Bowl running back who dealt with weight and conditioning issues last season—has spent his offseason getting back in shape. He’s been training with P-90X creator Tony Horton in an effort to cut weight before the start of Green Bay’s training camp this summer.
Photos have surfaced of a slimmed down Lacy at various points since the end of the Packers’ season. It sure looks like head coach Mike McCarthy’s message has hit its mark with Lacy, who likely played in the 250-260 range during the 2015 season. Pictures can be deceiving, but it looks like Lacy is much closer to 220 than 260.
The Packers currently list Lacy at 234 pounds. That number might need to be altered before the 2016 season, which is a contract year for the 25-year-old running back.
