Stephen Curry does things on the court that many other NBA players can’t do. And if his opponent is nursing a three-point lead at any point in a game, they’d better make sure to deny him the ball, because he will erase that deficit quickly.
The Pelicans found themselves in that very situation in Thursday night’s game. The Warriors erased a 20-point deficit and found themselves down just three points with under 10 seconds remaining in the game.
Curry managed to get free and attempted a three-pointer, but it came up short. Fortunately for him, the Warriors corralled the offensive rebound and he received another try from the corner.
With Anthony Davis flying at him and two other Pelicans in the area, Curry’s shot was a difficult one. Davis jumped into him—which clearly should’ve been called a foul—but Curry still managed to drill the three-pointer even while off balance.
