Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy’s four-game suspension is now over and he is poised to play in his first NFL game since Sept. 7, 2014.

The Cowboys could certainly use some help generating pressure on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in their Week 5 matchup, which kicks off at 4:25 p.m. ET, as the team is tied for 23rd in the league in sacks per game.

But FOX analyst Terry Bradshaw is not a fan of Hardy’s actions off the field. While he might be impressed by Hardy’s ability to get after opposing quarterbacks, he is clearly still upset about Hardy’s alleged assault on his then-girlfriend, Nicole Holder, and understandably so. Hardy was accused of throwing her onto a bed full of weapons and threatening her (although the case was later dismissed), and Bradshaw sounded off about how he felt regarding Hardy’s return to the NFL.

“It’s my opinion that [anyone] that lays a hand on a woman, I don’t care who you are, my friend, you never come back in this league,” Bradshaw said on FOX NFL Sunday.

He didn’t stop there, though. Bradshaw then shifted his focus a bit and blasted Jerry Jones, saying the team’s owner “enabled” Hardy by supporting him after the defensive end’s ill-advised comments about coming back “guns blazing” during a recent news conference.

“But Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, in his desperation to get a pass rusher, said, ‘Well, you know what, America, Cowboys fans, he’s alright, he’s a good boy. We’re gonna get him all straightened out over here and bring him in there,’ which he did. He has his first news conference, he makes a fool of himself and then Jerry goes out…he basically becomes an enabler himself.”

Bradshaw is right, in sticking by Hardy after he made those asinine comments and showed little remorse for what he was accused of doing, Jones essentially enabled the defensive end.

Hardy could’ve been gracious about returning to the NFL, but he elected to go a completely different route, and Jones supported him. It wasn’t a good look.
