Nothing was going to stop Carolina Panthers veteran linebacker Thomas Davis from playing in Super Bowl 50, not even a broken forearm.

Davis suffered a fracture in the NFC Championship game, but underwent surgery the following day to get it repaired.

The soon-to-be-33-year-old took to Instagram after Sunday’s 24-10 Super Bowl loss and posted a picture of his surgically-repaired forearm. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Here’s the caption that went along with the photo.

“This post is not about me, or how tough I am. It’s not to shine any light on me or my injuries. Our team doctors and trainers did an amazing job giving me an opportunity to get back on the field. This post is strictly to show how much love I have for my brothers and #PantherNation. Thank you all for your support and we will #KeepPounding.-TD”
