Tim Tebow, at 29 years of age, is one of the oldest players competing in an MLB instructional league game, and even though professional baseball is new to him, he looked like a veteran in his first at-bat during Wednesday’s game.

Tebow played in his first game against St. Louis Cardinals prospects in Port St. Lucie, Fla., and he took a pitch from John Kilichowski and blasted it out to center.

That was about it for Tebow, though, as he grounded out on his next at-bat, and ended the day 1-for-6, which isn’t very good. It’s clear he was swinging for the fences, and why not?
