When Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully talks, you listen. The play-by-play guru is currently in his 66th season with the team, and he has a knack for making baseball games entertaining from start to finish.
Scully isn’t your run-of-the-mill broadcaster, either, and that’s part of what makes him great. He doesn’t just spew stats or call games in the traditional sense that most others do. No, he talks about storylines, baseball history and the atmosphere at the ballpark. And he can tell a story like the best of them.
Such was the case during Saturday’s game against the Cubs, when Scully paid tribute to both the sun and the moon for their role in a great day at the ballpark.
After watching that clip, I’m even more excited that Scully recently announced he will be returning next season for another year of play-by-play greatness.
