The Pittsburgh Steelers are still upset at the Cincinnati Bengals for allegedly targeting star running back Le’Veon Bell, who suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s game and will be out for the season.
Linebacker Vontaze Burfict put the hit on Bell in the game, and the Steelers are not happy with him for it. Linebacker Vince Williams even threatened Burfict.
It’s not the first time Burfict has been accused of putting a dirty hit on a player, either. He twisted Cam Newton’s ankles after the Panthers quarterback scored a touchdown in last year’s matchup between the two teams.
Burfict is no Ndamukong Suh, that’s for sure. But where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and the Steelers may have a point here.
