Miami Heat fans are in a league of their own. They are passionate about their team, but they choose to display their emotions in a more nontraditional way.
And the fans who came out to AmericanAirlines Arena for Thursday’s Game 4 left disappointed, as they watched their team get blown out, 107-86. The Spurs controlled the game from the opening tip and won with ease. Heat fans probably weren’t happy about it, and that’s why many didn’t even stay for the conclusion of the game.
They began to file out and make their way to the exits with roughly five minutes remaining.
…At least they’ll beat the traffic?

The lower level, in particular, was looking quite empty, as many fans who were seated down there failed to stay for the final whistle.

While Game 4 may have been an extremely tough game to stomach, leaving AmericanAirlines Arena early isn’t anything new. It happened in Game 3 as well.
They may have witnessed the team’s last home game of the season, with Game 5 set to tip off in San Antonio on Sunday night. And right now, the Heat look like a fatigued team that is out of answers, while the Spurs are clicking on all cylinders and utilizing their depth to create and exploit mismatches.
No team in NBA Finals history has come back from a 3-1 deficit, and Heat fans don’t seem to be too optimistic about the rest of this series.
