Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is still retiring from the NFL, but he’s been too busy lately to make it official by filing his retirement papers.
Beast Mode has been riding humped beasts half a world away.
“We just haven’t received his papers yet,” Seahawks general manager John Schneider said Tuesday, via ESPN. “He’s been out of the country riding camels and stuff.”

Lynch, who announced his retirement over Twitter during the Super Bowl, spent time in Egypt representing American Football Without Barriers, a group helping introduce the game of football to international youngsters. Him and nine other players are attempting to “globalize” the sport, while also helping underprivileged youths around the world.
According to ESPN, Lynch is now back in the country. His delay in filing the papers is not a sign of a potential return to the NFL, but the Seahawks are still waiting to receive the corresponding cap room once Lynch makes his retirement official with the league.
Seattle could release Lynch at any point, creating the same amount of savings.
Lynch, 29, played six seasons with the Seahawks. He rushed for over 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns every season from 2011-14, but injuries limited him to just seven games in 2015. His six 100-yard rushing games in the postseason are third most all-time.
