It’s not every day that you see a MLB player ejected for something he did with his foot.

That was the case in Sunday’s Angels-Orioles game, when home plate umpire Tim Timmons showed he’s not going to stand for trolling, even if it’s not blatant.

Timmons punched Yunel Escobar out, saying he went around on a check swing for strike three, which the Angels veteran didn’t agree with. He waited until he got back to the infield to do anything, and decided to draw a home plate on the infield dirt between second and third base.

That warranted an ejection from the umpires.

It was Escobar’s third ejection of the season, which is a lot, but hey, I thought it was funny/clever, at least.
