Better Super Late Than Never Trade Reaction

Ok, so it’s not the most timely of posts, but, it’s a post nonetheless.

The trade deadline has passed and now it’s time to objectively and critically react to the moves the Sharks made.

WHOOO WE GOT A COMPETENT BACKUP FOR A HELLA GOOD PRICE HOLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAA

*ahem*

Ok, sure, Reimer’s only a rental, but still, YES.

I was less enthused by the trade for Polack and Spaling because I felt like it was any overpay for just some OK assests, but when taken in combination with the Reimer trade, (which looked like a  totally swindling of the Leafs), both deals end up looking pretty balanced.

I hate to bring guys in as rentals, and Reimer is likely a rental, but he’s the rental we need. (If not the backup we deserve)

In other news:

Seriously, why do the Sharks always lose to Buffalo? IT’S FREAKING BUFFALO!

I wasn’t as salty about the OT loss to the Avs, but Buffalo. Guh.

Losing to Carolina wasn’t great either. I THOUGHT they were going to lose to the Canucks, but they somehow remembered to play with 20 minutes left in the game. Always a plus. I prefer seeing 60 minutes of good play, but, Sharks fans can’t be choosers, especially when it comes to consistency. 4 unanswered is pretty sweet, even if the method was lacking.

Did you know Joe Thornton is a BAMF GOAT, because he is. Make a note.

2 assists and a goal last night. Your mom wishes she was that good.

Next game is Thursday night vs the Canucks. 7pm start.
